“You know, Draco, you shouldn’t be so hard on Muggles.”

Draco looked at his wife, who was sitting on the counter and swinging her legs, over the top of his Daily Prophet with a raised eyebrow. He flipped it so that he was examining the front, wondering if something there had spurned the random comment, but found nothing.

“Oh? Why is that?”

“They’re really quite advanced for all of their disadvantages.” She tilted her head and watched him, and he set the Prophet on the table, sighing.

“Talking about them like creatures you’re writing on for The Quibbler isn’t going to convince me of anything. I’m certain you said the same thing about those Marshmallow Bats you were on last week.”

Marshmaron Bats. And the bats don’t make those movies for the telly that you enjoy so much.” She smiled dreamily at the light blush that colored his cheeks.

“Am I to assume you have a point bringing this up during breakfast?” Her eyes traveled to the window and his followed, realization striking when he saw the house across the way that still had a moving van parked in the drive. “Oh, Luna. You didn’t.”

When he looked back around, she had hopped off of the counter and crossed the room. She bent to kiss his cheek and said, “They’ll be here at seven.”
