Pansy pushed her sunglasses back into her hair and squinted to get a better look. “I don’t understand. Where’s his wand?”

Harry shook his head. “He doesn’t have one.”

“But you said he was strong because of magic. How can that be true if he doesn’t have a wand?”

“He doesn’t need one.”

She narrowed her eyes disbelievingly at him. “Then it’s wandless? I’m sorry Harry, but I simply refuse to believe that a large man in red spandex is more proficient at wandless magic than I am.”

He sighed, rubbing the back of his neck. “No, it’s not wandless. It’s, er, it’s a different kind of magic. He was born that way.”

“So he was born with a spell on him to make him really strong?”

“Yes! Exactly! Now can we get some lunch?”

“But that doesn’t explain why his children have powers. Or why neither of them are strong. Or even why his wife can stretch like that!”

Harry pinched the bridge of his nose and closed his eyes. “All right! I give in! Disneyland was the wrong choice for our vacation. Next year, we’ll go to Australia like you wanted! Are you happy now?”

She smiled and leaned up to kiss his cheek. “Like you wouldn’t believe.”
